Had the brown stew chicken with rice and peas with plantains. The food was absolutely delicious, but the workers were moving in slow motion and it took 24 minutes of standing in line to order. It should take only 5-10 minutes tops to plate food that is already cooked. I will be back to get the food but I hope I don’t have to wait for Jesus to come back while I am waiting for my food.

Avoid the embarrassment and disrespect. As a frequent visitor to this establishment, I can attest that the level of attitude and unkindness from the staff is unparalleled. Honestly, I would enter the restaurant and politely wait my turn to order, only to be ignored as everyone seemed preoccupied with other tasks, leaving me standing there like a statue. I swallow my pride each time and patiently wait to place my order. After standing and waiting for a while, a staff member would finally approach, looking me up and down without even offering a greeting. Finally, when I am able to place my order, I am met with the most unpleasant and outrageous attitude. Every time, my food quantities are cut to almost nothing. My breaking point occurred yesterday when I went to the restaurant to place an order, and the procedure was the same as it has always been. I choose not to eat the dish after placing my order and receiving a reduced portion. I wouldn't suggest this location to anyone.

I’m traveling and wanted to try some Jamaican food. I ordered Peppered Shrimp. The date was 4-days ago and the shrimp wasn’t fresh. I ordered 3 dinners which were all supposed to come with plantain and they didn’t deliver it

I literally go here all the time because I haven’t found another place that can match the quality for the price. I especially love the curry chicken. The mini lunch special still contains a decent amount of food, & the food is well seasoned. There is ample parking, & they usually give me a lot of food…so I won’t complain. I do recommend Dutch Pot. The Lauderhill location is also good. I will most definitely go back lol.

It was truly refreshing to receive such excellent customer service at Dutch Pot in North Lauderdale. I explained that I was traveling and needed to secure my food. The staff took extra care in packaging my order. The taste is excellent. I highly recommend the stew peas and the oxtail.
